Training Update - 21 and 22 · Sep 28, 06:38 AM

I’ve been a little behind posting the training for the last 10 days, and I’m not too excited for a lot of make-up posting, so it’s going to be quick and dirty. Last week (21) was a shortened recover/moving/travel week that started with an OD to finish off the previous block and ended with Moosilauke. Lab testing was on Thursday and I flew on Friday. Moosilauke has been written up, my lab test was fine, and the best news out of the week was that 4.25 hours on Monday was decidedly not an OD. I played it safe and called it good at that, but this weekend’s OD will have to be more on the 4.75-5 side I think.

YTD (21): 13.75/365.75

This week so far has been pretty good. Relaxed in the sense that I’m really targeting 4 workouts while at home; Moosilauke, the TT, Tim’s Hill intervals on Saturday and an OD Sunday. It let Monday to Wednesday be a little bit of recovery that included some volume, some hiking and tennis, and roller skiing on different roads. Not really a recovery block, just a couple days to focus on the efforts coming up. It seemed to work fine for yesterday, as I put together a plenty good enough TT, even a little under-rested. The next couple days will be harder, and I expect to be tired getting on the plane Monday afternoon. Too bad the Pats are MNF’ing it, though actually my layover in MSP might get me about half the game…

I will probably go back to publishing the training log in daily form next week or the week after, but the hours are still here.

YTD (22): 10.25/376

  1. I need the daily updates. This cite gets pretty old for advanced procrastination when it doesn’t change.
